To support this strong growth and a push into new geographical markets, key hires are today announced.

Tom Amos, CEO of Sidekicker said “We are really excited to officially announce the appointment of Luke as our Chief Marketplace Officer and celebrate the arrival of our first General Managers in our East Coast cities. Luke will play an integral role in growing our marketplace across existing and new geographical markets. His experience with both Uber and Uber Eats brings to Sidekicker a wealth of skills that will be key to the next phase of our growth.

Current customers are showing strong commitment to the platform with high rates of return usages. “The feedback we have been receiving from our clients has been really fantastic, they are enjoying how easy and transparent Sidekicker is to find short-term staff to help scale and grow their business. Over the past 12 months we’ve seen an average increase of 89% in the number of Sidekicks requested by our current clients, demonstrating value for money and great retention. To deepen these meaningful relationships that we’ve built with our clients, we’ve put on our first general managers for VIC, NSW and QLD” said Tom.

Sidekicker has eight city teams, with operations in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Brisbane and most recently the Gold Coast.

In the past 12 months, Sidekicker has connected thousands of skilled workers with businesses seeking temporary and casual staff across multiple labour verticals including hospitality, retail, promotions, events and warehousing.

“At Sidekicker, we strive to give our clients a casual workforce that they love, providing them with a platform that connects businesses with enthusiastic Sidekicks and empowers them with easy to use features like Talent Pools that makes managing short-term staff as frictionless as possible. I’m really proud that the average time it takes our clients to fill a shift is only 1 hour and the average star rating of our Sidekicks is 4.7 stars.” Amos said.

Richard Duff, a Melbourne Sidekick who has completed over 100 jobs with Sidekicker says:

“I love being a Sidekick, having the freedom and power to choose how often I work is liberating. I love the experience that comes with working in different places all the time. One day I’ll be working at an engagement party in an incredible converted warehouse and the next day I’ll be individually wrapping thousands of crystals from a chandelier exhibition at Crown Casino. I’ve had to learn to sell the value I bring to businesses both online – when applying for jobs – and offline – when introducing myself to a new boss every job. Learning these skills will be integral to my future career.”
