Where were you working before you started Sidekicking?

Before I joined Sidekicker, I was working as a hotel concierge in Melbourne with Accor Hotels.

Tell us something unique about yourself

I love to snowboard! I lived in Jindabyne a couple of years ago and worked a season in the hospitality department for the Novotel on Lake Crackenback Resort.

What was your first Sidekicking gig?

My very first Sidekick gig was was for a social dinner with hundreds of guests at Leonda By The Yarra in Melbourne. I remember it very well!

Coolest thing you’ve done at Sidekicker?

It would definitely have to be my first of many shifts with Hub Australia, an Australian owned and operated co-working site. I remember walking into the building, having never heard of the concept of co-working until I read the Sidekicker job, calling for an assistant to help out with one of their clubhouses. I walked into the reception area and was gobsmacked at how creative the space was. Sidekicker introduced me to an entire industry I didn’t even know existed!

What was your first job?

My first job was with McDonalds Australia, when I was fifteen!

What do you hope to do in the future?

I hope to keep developing my management skills to utilise them in future opportunities.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

The earliest memory I have of thinking about what I wanted to do when I grew up was to be a hairdresser or a veterinarian!

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone who wants to be a Sidekick?

You need to be adaptable – Being a Sidekick is all about thinking on your feet and being able to seamlessly approach tasks like you’ve done the job a thousand times, even though you probably wont have been in the particular work environment before. This company will equip you with the skills to prepare you for fast paced, agile working environments.

Why do you love what you do?

I love what I do because I am always doing something different, trying new things and learning and improving on a huge range of skills!
